Collection centres

Collection Centres are facilities where people can dispose of recoverable materials, hazardous waste and large waste items free of charge.

Collection Centres are facilities where people can dispose of domestic waste products free of charge. They are exclusively for private individuals, while for non-domestic waste there are dedicated charged services available. As such, only quantities consistent with domestic waste are accepted (e.g., 4 tyres, 1 type of domestic appliance, 2 mattresses, etc.). If you have any questions, get in touch with our Customer Care service by calling 800 017277.
The only exception is made for WEEE: these Collection Centres are classified as "waste electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection centres" and, as such, they can be used by individuals, retailers and authorised technicians.

The moving and unloading of waste within the facility must be carried out by individuals themselves; Amiat staff are responsible for controlling facility access, regulating unloading flow and providing information on proper waste disposal.

There are seven Collection Centres within Turin, distributed across four of the eight districts; just like the waste Amiat collects in the city, the waste disposed of at these centres is sent to be recovered in line with the Italian National Consortium on supply chain and authorised recovery, so it can later be reintroduced to the production cycle or disposed of with total respect for the environment.
